i was honestly just gonna say u look like u smell like curdled milk, but there are too many insane whites in my inbox rn so ima be real.
White people cannot experience racism because you need to have power to systemically oppress a people, which is what racism does and a power only white people have in the USA (and most other places tbh). And don’t even say “we have a black president!” cuz u know that don’t mean shit when the rest of the government is completely white.
me calling you a cracker =/= call me a nigga. completely different power structures. ofc i’m gonna call ignorant whites “cracker ass horse fuckers” because i’m sick of what white supremacy is doing to Black people. sorry to break it to you but more white people are racist than not.
“not all white people” is a shitty response because that trivializes the reality that is as long as the majority is racist, it doesnt matter how “open minded” you are. it doesnt matter you’re “a good white!!!” (especially not if you are actually racist and think you’re not just cuz you don’t hang negroes by the lake and put burning crosses on the colored folks lawns. ) racism is not an isolated idea in peoples heads— it is engrained in our entire society, systemically.
so yea, its mean of me to say look like expired cool whip, but tbh POC have every right to be like FUCK U N UR RACISM. Ignoring micro aggressions of racism and unwillingness to listen to POC telling you you are being racist IS RACISM. U SUPPORT OUR RACIST SOCIETY BY BEING IGNORANT OF THE TRUTH.
Pllleease google power structures. make an effort to actually learn. why the fuck are u ppl ok with not being right??? its like yall only care about race when i say something mean about white ppl but dont do shit when black ppl r being killed left n right!!! by our own fucking law enforcement!!!!
Me stereotyping white people by saying they drink lots of starbucks isn’t getting white people killed, while white people stereotyping black people as dangerous “gangsters” and “thugs” are getting black people killed - Without justice.
racists say this isn’t about race when statistical FACTS blatantly reveal that it is. everything is about race and POC are reminded of that DAILY. and idk why you white ppl are mad we are calling out bad shit like oppression… as if we are hurting anybody.
as chris rock so eloquently put it, “You see white people pissed off, man. Man, the white man thinks he’s losing the country. You watch the news: ”We’re losing everything. We’re fucking losing. ”Affirmative action, and illegal aliens…”and “we’re fucking losing the country. ”Losing? Shut the fuck up.
White people ain’t losing shit. If y’all losing, who’s winning? it ain’t us!!!!”
as a girl, loving yrself isn’t just cool and positive for daily life, but it’s also very political. companies and laws and social standards don’t advocate self-love for women. it’s Abnormal and it might seem like a little thing to do but it’s actually crucial. keep up the good work gals :~)
Columbia student will carry her mattress until her rapist exits school
September 2, 2014
While most students at Columbia University will spend the first day of classes carrying backpacks and books, Emma Sulkowicz will start her semester on Tuesday with a far heavier burden. The senior plans on carrying an extra-long, twin-size mattress across the quad and through each New York City building – to every class, every day – until the man she says raped her moves off campus.
“I was raped in my own bed,” Sulkowicz told me the other day, as she was gearing up to head back to school in this, the year American colleges are finally, supposedly, ready to do something about sexual assault. “I could have taken my pillow, but I want people to see how it weighs down a person to be ignored by the school administration and harassed by police.”
Sulkowicz is one of three women who made complaints to Columbia against the same fellow senior, who was found “not responsible” in all three cases. She also filed a police report, but Sulkowicz was treated abysmally – by the cops, and by a Columbia disciplinary panel so uneducated about the scourge of campus violence that one panelist asked how it was possible to be anally raped without lubrication.
So Sulkowicz joined a federal complaint in April over Columbia’s mishandling of sexual misconduct cases, and she will will hoist that mattress on her shoulders as part savvy activism, part performance art. “The administration can end the piece, by expelling him,” she says, “or he can, by leaving campus.”
As painful as I know the constant reminder of attending school with her rapist must be, I’m glad she won’t be the only one forced to remember. I hope the rapist drops out immediately…or better yet, I hope he faces the justice he deserves.
